March 20, 2019, Assistant Professor Mariko Saito-Obata, as representative from International Exchange Office, Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine, Japan kindly visited Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital. The main purpose of her visit are to call upon Ramathibodi’s facilities provided for exchange students as well as update about the 1 week exchange programs opening soon in Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine. In this occasion Ms.Katesarin Suwanwiriya, Head of International Relation Section, precisely provide a warm welcom. 

 

 

March 6, 2019 at Room no.714, Medical Learning Resource Center and Ramathibodi School of Nursing Building; Prof.Sirintara Singhara na Ayudhaya, M.D., Deputy Dean for International Relations provided welcome for Mr.Ryoji Noritake, CEO of Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) and dementia care experts from Japan including Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, Dementia Friendship Club, National Center for Geriatrics and Gerontology; attending THAILAND – JAPAN DEMENTIA CONFERENCE - Redesigning Dementia for People with Dementia. On this occasion Deputy Dean for International Relations of Ramathibodi kindly gave the welcome speech and participated the conference.

On March 5, 2019 at Department of Communication Sciences and Disorder; Prof.Sirintara Singhara na Ayudhaya, M.D., Deputy Dean for International Relations, along with Asst.Prof. Suchin Worawichawong, M.D., Assistant Dean for International RelationsAssoc. Prof. Krisna Lertsukprasert, Head of Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and her team provided warm welcome to the group of executives from Macquarie University including Prof. David Wilkinson, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Engagement); Ms. Nicole Brigg, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) and Mr. Matthew Monkhouse, Director, Southeast Asia and Eurasia. The main purpose of this visit was to have collaborative discussion towards working on accelerate the project of establishing the ASEAN Hearing Hub and Communication Sciences Center within Ramathibodi.

ศาสตราจารย์ แพทย์หญิงศิรินธรา สิงหรา ณ อยุธยา รองคณบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ ในฐานะตัวแทนคณบดี เป็นประธานกล่าวต้อนรับและกล่าวเปิดโครงการฝึกอบรมเทคโนโลยีทางการแพทย์และสาธารณสุขสำหรับบุคลากรทางการแพทย์ จากสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว ตามพระราชดำริ สมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี รุ่นที่ 21 โดยการอบรมนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเพิ่มพูนความรู้และทักษะในด้านการแพทย์และสาธารณสุขให้แก่บุคลากรทางการแพทย์ จากสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว โดยเป็นความร่วมมือระหว่างสำนักงานโครงการตามพระราชดำริ สมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดา ฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี สำนักพระราชวัง กรมความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศ และมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ซึ่งในปีนี้มีบุคลากรเข้าร่วมใน 5 หลักสูตร ประกอบด้วย 1. หลักสูตรวิสัญญีวิทยา 2. หลักสูตรนักเซลล์วิทยา 3. หลักสูตรศัลยศาสตร์ 4. หลักสูตรจิตเวชศาสตร์ และ5. หลักสูตรพยาบาลศาสตร์ – การบริหารพยาบาล จำนวนทั้งสิ้น 14 คน ในระหว่างวันที่ 17 กุมภาพันธ์ - 1 เมษายน 2562

 
Feb 18, 2019 - Meeting Room No.1, Office of the Dean, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University; Prof.Sirintara Singhara na Ayudhaya, Deputy Dean for International Relations, along with her Assistant Dean, Asst.Prof.Suchin Worawichawong; provided welcome speech during the opening ceremony of “The 21st Training Program in Technology of Medicine and Public Health for Health Personnel from Laos PDR” This annual training program has been initiated by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and for this year, there are 14 medical and nursing personnel from Laos PDR who will be provided the training program during February 17 – April 1, 2019 at Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University.
 
 

On February 12, 2019 at Office of Dean’s meeting room, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University; Prof. Denis Le Bihan, Director of NeuroSpin Institute, CEA Saclay, France had collaborative discussion towards Prostate MRI cases in advance and the MR acquisition/ processing techniques with Abdominal radiologist's team; leaded with Dr. Sith Phongkitkarun, Department of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiology. On this occasion, Prof. Sirintara Na Ayudhaya, Deputy Dean for International Relations joined the meeting to provide warm welcome for Prof. Le Bihan; as he expressed the strong intention towards the collaborative working projects with Ramathibodi.

Prof.Piyamitr Sritara, Dean of Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, presided over the side meeting entitled "The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand Study: Thrusting Toward Ageing Research 2020"; the side meeting session held as a part of Prince Mahidol Award Conference 2019 (Jan 29- Feb 3, 2019). On this occasion, Prof.Mark Woodward, Professor of Statistics and Epidemiology at the University of Oxford and visiting professor; served as the visiting scholar at Department of Medicine of Ramathibodi during Jan 28 - March 11, 2019, kindly provided the lecture entitled "Developing a risk score, How?".

This side meeting has objectives to demonstrate the sustainable public-private partnership in NCDs research, as well as to present the recent researches from the EGAT study focusing on NCDs and Aging and identify research gaps and discuss the future direction of this cohort.

 

 

 

On Jan 28, 2019 at Meeting room no.1, Office of the Dean, Prof.Piyamitr Sritara, Dean of Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, along with the board of executives provided the warm welcome for Sir David Sloman, the NHS Regional Director for London, UK; and his team. The purpose of this visit are for giving special lecture on Management of Health Service System in London and having hospital site visit as well as for looking for the possible collaboration between Ramathibodi and NHS, London.

 

On January 31, 2019 at the Research Center's meeting room, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University; Prof. Wichai Aekplakorn, Head of Department of Community Medicine, along with his research team including Dr. Anchalee Chittamma and her four research assistants and Dr. Surasak Kantachuvesiri, chairman of the Low Salt Thailand Network kindly welcomed the visitors from Resolve to Save Lives, US-CDC, and WHO on occasion of their visit at Ramathibodi.

 

 

 

The purpose of this visit is to observe the laboratory equipment for serum trans fatty acid analysis and to discuss with Prof. Wichai Aekplakorn and Dr.Anchalee Chittamma on serum trans fat analysis and sodium surveillance with the experts from Resolve to save lives, US-CDC and WHO.

Prof. Suchin Worawichawong, MD, Assistant Dean for International Relations; Prof. Dr. Wasun Chantratita, PhD, Head of Center for Medical Genomics, and Dr.Jakris Eu-ahsunthornwattana, MD, PhD Faculty Member of Department of Community Medicine attended Cotutelle & Joint PhD 2019 International Research Training Partnerships Workshop at Macquarie University, Australia; as the representatives of Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Wasun Chantratita, PhD had been invited as the speaker for “Over 1,000 EGAT participants in ‘game-changing’ Thailand Genomes Project”; while Dr.Jakris Eu-ahsunthornwattana, MD, PhD joined as speaker for “Genomics Thailand and population genomics research in Ramathibodi Hospital”.

The objective of this visit is to introduce foreign universities’ executive board members of Mahidol University, and professionals the new strategic plan of Thailand higher education, and to strengthen cooperation between MU & MQ in particular for the pioneering field of genomic research and related collaboration further, following the EEC’s aspiration.

Assoc. Prof.Wasun Chantratita, M.D.,Head of Center for Medical Genomics, provided warm welcome to Netherlands Task Force Health Care (TFHC) led by Mr. Peter Post, Director; to visit Ramathibodi's Center for Medical Genomics and have discussion towards possibility of collaboration.

Prof.Sirin Apiyasawat, M.D., Dr.Tachapong Ngarmukos, M.D., Head of Cardiovascular & Metabolic Center and Asst. Prof.Pavit Pienvichit, M.D. from Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine; organized an official welcome for the distinguished visitors from Boston scientific corporation, leading by Mr. Michael Mahoney who is the Chairman & CEO and his Senior Vice President &  President of Asia Pacific, Mr. Warren Wang.

The purpose of their visit are to discuss about the possibility to establish a collaborative excellence center for Arrhythmia care with Rhythmia 3D navigation system and have several site visits to the working areas in Ramathibodi including Department of Diagnostic Radiology’s Body Intervention Unit, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Coronary Care Unit and Somdech Phra Debaratana Medical Center.
