The virtual meeting “COVID-19 and Its Disruptive Effects on the Nursing Education: Future, Policy and Strategic Plans” (COVIDNEd 2021).

On March 17, 2021, via webinar platform, Professor Piyamitr Sritara, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, along with Associate Professor Poolsuk Janepanish Visudtibhan, Ph.D., Director of the Ramathibodi School of Nursing, presided over the virtual meeting “COVID-19 and Its Disruptive Effects on the Nursing Education: Future, Policy and Strategic Plans” (COVIDNEd 2021). On this special occasion, Professor Suchatvee Suwansawat, Ph.D., Rector of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, kindly gave a special lecture on “Transforming the educational model during COVID-19 to Improve learning outcomes: Rethinking what really matters and what we should do moving forward?”.

This virtual conference was co-hosted by the Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, University of Technology, Sydney, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Deakin University, University of Hong Kong Taipei Medical University, St. Luke’s International University, National University of Singapore, University of Massachusetts Amherst Kunming Medical University, Osaka Prefecture University, in hope to expand the international collaboration among Nursing instructor, students as well as another faculty staff, exchanging academic knowledge, experience on research and teaching, learning management and know-how to apply various innovations during the epidemic situation of COVID-19. This virtual conference was held during March 17-18, 2021.
