Clinical Professor Artit Ungkanont, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, was joined by Assistant Professor Dr. Suchin Worawichawong, the Deputy Dean for International Relations, and esteemed faculty members from the Departments of Hematology and Oncology, as well as Internal Medicine, including Professor Dr. Panthep Angchaisuksiri and Professor Dr. Nongnuch Sirachainan. Together, they had the privilege of welcoming His Excellency Dr. Sandor Sipos, the Hungarian Ambassador to Thailand. The purpose of the meeting was to engage in fruitful discussions regarding potential areas of collaboration and future cooperation between the two entities.
The meeting took place at the Dean's conference room, located on the 5th floor of the Administrative Building, Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University. It was a significant occasion that underscored the commitment to building strong international relationships and exploring opportunities for mutual benefit.
On April 1, 2024, at the Room no. K101, Chalermprakiat Building at the Faculty of Science, Mahidol University's Phayathai Campus, Professor Kiyoshi Takeda, the Director of the Immunology Frontier Research Center of Osaka University, Japan, visited Mahidol University. Accompanied by executives and faculty members from Osaka University, the delegation engaged in discussions with representatives from Mahidol University regarding potential collaborations and the granting of scholarships for the Doctoral Program in Microbiology and Immunology.
Representatives from the Faculty of Medicine at Ramathibodi Hospital who attended the meeting included Assoc. Prof. Mongkol Kunakorn, M.D., Head of the Department of Pathology; Assoc. Prof. Donniphat Dejsuohong, M.D., Assistant Dean for Graduate Education; Prof. Chatchai Muanprasat, M.D., Ph.D., Assistant Dean for Research Administration; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Putthappoom Lumjiaktase from the Department of Pathology.
On March 14, 2024, at Soros Room, 2nd floor, Thailand Post Office – Panurangsri Praisaniyakarn Building, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES) hosted a significant event as Clinical Professor Artit Ungkanont, M.D., representing the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, while H.E. Mr. Robert F. Godec, the U.S. Ambassador to Thailand representing the U.S. Embassy Bangkok, participated in the Signing Ceremony marked the collaboration for a Feasibility Study and Pilot Program supported by the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA). Among the esteemed witness were notable figures including H.E. Mr. Prasert Chanthararuangthong, the Minister of Digital Economy and Society; H.E. Mrs.Gina Raimondo, the U.S. Secretary of Commerce; Mr.Kevin Toohers, Regional Manager, Southeast Asia and the Pacific of USTDA; and Clinical Professor Sarana Boonbaichaiyapruck, Chairman of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC). This collaborative effort aims to introduce Wi-Fi 6E connectivity technologies at the Chakri Naruebodindra Medical Institute (CNMI), an extension campus of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital. This initiative will demonstrate the feasibility and benefits of Wi-Fi 6E technologies, showcasing their potential to enhance digital solutions in healthcare settings. This pilot project exemplifies the advantages of next-generation Wi-Fi technologies and seeks to pave the way for their widespread adoption in public sector health facilities throughout Thailand, ultimately contributing to the nation's progress and well-being.

On March 14, 2024, the International Relations Section of the Faculty of Medicine at Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, organized a site-study activity as part of the "Thai-Japanese Medical Student Exchange Program for the academic year 2023," in collaboration with Juntendo University. Led by Professor Hirotake Mori, M.D., a lecturer at the Department of General Medicine, Juntendo University Faculty of Medicine, the program involved a study tour at the Raj Pracha Samasai Medical Institute in Samut Prakan province. The focus was on observing cases of leprosy and occupational diseases in Thailand, along with laboratory facilities and the round ward clinic.
During the visit, Dr. Saranjit Wimoonchat, Deputy Director of the Medical Services of the Institute, extended a warm welcome to the delegation. The institute's team of ophthalmologists, dermatologists, occupational medicine specialists, professional nurses, medical technicians, and physical therapists provided lectures, demonstrations, and guided tours of the medical service unit, offering valuable insights into their expertise and practices.

March 5, 2024, Clinical Professor Artit Ungkanont, M.D., Dean, the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, graciously hosted a welcome dinner at the Raweekanlaya Dining to express our gratitude and honor the esteemed delegates from Zhejiang University the occasion of their official visit to the Faculty.
The welcome dinner followed a series of daytime events, commencing with a warm reception earlier in the day. Dr. Pairoj Boonkongcheun, M.D., Deputy Dean - representing the Dean, together with Professor Sinee Disthabanchong, M.D., Deputy Dean for Research Administration, Professor M.L. Chagriya Kitiyakara, M.D., Deputy Dean for Innovation and Cooperation, Associate Professor Soamarat Vilaiyuk, M.D., the Deputy Dean for Graduate Education, Assistant Professor Suchin Worawichawong, M.D., Deputy Dean for International Relations, along with the assistant deans and the Representative from the Department of Clinical Epidemiology & Biostatistics, extended a warm welcome to the honorable delegates from Zhejiang University, China, led by Professor LI Xiaoming, Vice President, followed by Mr.Gu Guoyu, the Director of Hospital Management office, Professor LU Zhimin, Vice Dean for International Affairs, Professor FU Junfen, President of Children’s Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, and Associate Professor CHEN Weiying, Vice Dean of the International School of Medicine.
The visit featured collaborative discussions on education research and academic mobility. The delegates visited key areas within Ramathibodi Hospital, including the MIND Center, Department of Pediatrics, and Ramathibodi Research Center.

Prof. Suchin Worawichawong, Deputy Dean for International Relations, together with Assoc. Prof. Prut Hanutsaha, Head of the Department of Ophthalmology, and Asst. Prof. Varintorn Chuckpaiwong, Deputy Head of the Department of Ophthalmology, extended a warm welcome to the Executive Team from Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh and Lumbini Eye Institute & Research Center (LEIRC), Nepal led by Prof. Dr. Chet Rajpant and Dr. Sailesh Kumar Mishra (MBA, Ph.D). On this occasion, the two institutes discussed potential collaborations regarding training programs and faculty mobility.
On February 29, 2024, at Meeting Room 200, 2nd Floor of the Administration Building, Rajasuda Institute, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University's Salaya Campus, Dr. Wachara Riewpaiboon, M.D., MSc., Deputy Director of the Rajasuda Institute, convened with faculty members, Sign Language Academic Staff, and Sign Language Interpreters to extend a warm welcome to Ms. Ikumi Kawamata, a staff member of the Nippon Foundation Overseas Scholarship Program for the Hearing-impaired. The occasion marked her visit to observe the operations of the Bachelor of Arts Program in Deaf Studies, pioneered by Mahidol University through the Rajasuda Institute, which was the first institution in Asia to offer such a program.

Feb 19, 2023, at Meeting Room no.2, the Office of the Dean, 5th Floor, the Administrative Building located at the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University; Clinical Professor Artit Ungkanont, M.D., Dean, provided a warm welcome during the opening ceremony of “The 26th Training Program in Technology of Medicine and Public Health for Health Personnel from Laos PDR”. This annual training program has been initiated by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and for this year, there is 21 medical personnel from Laos PDR who will be provided the training programs; Family Medicine, Pediatric Nursing, and Nursing Administration; during February 19 – March 26, 2023, at the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University.

On February 15, 2024, at the Office of the Dean, the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, the institute's executives the Deputy Dean for International Relations Assist. Prof. Suchin Worawichawong, along with other key faculty members, Prof. Dr. Atiporn Ingsathit, Director of Ramathibodi Hospital, Associate Professor Chusak Kijkunasathian, the Deputy Dean for Policy. Dr. Poompis Pattaranutaporn, the Assistant Dean for Information Technology, and Assistant Prof. Dr.Pongtong Puranitee, the deputy dean for undergraduate study, welcomed delegates from Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia. Led by President Dr. Issa Alansari, the delegation, which included Vice-President for Academic Affairs Dr. Faisal Al Anezi and the other Engineering Consultants, visited Ramathibodi to learn about hospital management systems and medical education practices in Thai medical schools. Before the meeting, the delegates stopped by the Somdech Phra Debaratana Medical Center (SDMC) to visit the area of services.
The meeting concluded with all parties discussing potential collaborative partnerships to further enhance knowledge exchange and cooperation between the two institutions.
On February 5, 2024, during the 23rd Thai Medical Education Conference (TMEC) 2024, the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand, and the University of the Philippines Manila College of Medicine, Philippines, held the MOU Signing Ceremony at the Convention Hall B2, 22nd floor, Centara Grand Bangkok Convention Center at CentralWorld.
On this occasion, Clin. Prof. Artit Ungkanont, M.D., represented the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital as the principal signatory, with Asst. Prof. Suchin Worawichawong, M.D., Deputy Dean for International Relations, serving as the witness. Meanwhile, Prof. Charlotte M. Chiong, Dean of the University of the Philippines College of Medicine, acted as the principal signatory for the institute.
The memorandum of understanding aims to encourage collaboration in the field of Rehabilitation Medicine Research and to facilitate exchange activities for faculty, undergraduate, and postgraduate students from both institutes.
On February 5, 2024, during the 23rd Thai Medical Education Conference (TMEC) 2024, the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand, and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Germany, held a Signing Ceremony of the Letter of Intention at the Lotus 11 Meeting room, 22nd floor, Centara Grand Bangkok Convention Center at CentralWorld. Prof. Samart Pakakasama, M.D., Deputy Dean for Education, represented Ramathibodi as the principal signatory, with Asst. Prof. Pongtong Puranitee, M.D., Deputy Dean for Undergraduate Education, serving as the witness, along with Asst. Prof. Suchin Worawichawong, M.D., Deputy Dean for International Relations. On behalf of Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Prof. Dr. med. Harm Peters, Head of Medical Education, participated in the ceremony as the institute's principal signatory.
The signing of the Letter of Intention signifies the commitment of both institutes to collaborate on Medical Education and explore potential educational projects and research avenues.
