September 26,2019 -  Prof.Sirintara Singhara na Ayudhaya, Deputy Dean for International Relations; as the representative of Prof.Piyamitr Sritara, Dean of Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, participated the press release session hosted by Faculty of Medicine Chulalongkorn University towards the Early Nutrition eAcademy Southeast Asia (ENeA SEA) e-learning for healthcare professionals, which launched for the 1st time in Southeast Asia. On this occasion, Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University provided warm welcome at Meeting Room no.1301, 13rd floor, Bhumisiri Mangkhalanusorn Building Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital.

The online learning platform, developed lately with the collaborations between European, Thai and Malaysian partners; comprised Ludwig Maximilians University, Germany; University of Southampton, UK; Politehnica University of Bucharest, Romania; Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Malaysia; University of Malaya; Malaysia, Chulalongkorn University, Mahidol University, and The Department of Health (DOH), Ministry of Public Health of Thailand; jointly developing science‐based education, tailored to the needs of the Southeast Asian region; regarding the Early Nutrition eAcademy Southeast Asia. It has the main objective to improve knowledge and awareness related to early nutrition and lifestyle during pregnancy and early childhood (the first 1,000 days of life after conception) and to reduce the rate of under-nutrition and obesity. The modules are free and available to doctors and paramedics including gynecologist, obstetricians, pediatricians, nurses, nutritionists practicing in the field of early nutrition, and the public.

 

On September 25, 2019. Prof.Anannit Visudtibhan, M.D., Head, Department of Pediatrics; as a representative of the Dean, precisely provided warm welcome to Prof.Cheah Fook Choe, M.D., Head, Department of Padiatrics, Universiti Kebangsaan, Malaysia, on the occasion of official visit at Ramathibodi and having site visits to Division of Neonatology and Newborn Unit.

 

August 21, 2019, Prof. Piyamitr Sritara -Dean- along with his Deputy Dean for International Relations - Prof.Sirintara Singhara na Ayudhaya - and Deputy Dean for Research - Boonsong Ongphiphadhanakul - provided a warm welcome dinner to honor Prof.Vin Tangpricha from Emory University School of Medicine on occasion of his visit to Thailand. 



Prof.Vin Tangpricha is a board-certified endocrinologist at Emory Clinic and Emory Midtown and Program Director of the Emory Endocrinology Fellowship Program. His interests include vitamin D, osteoporosis, endocrine disorders in cystic fibrosis and transgender medicine. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed research articles, reviews and book chapters. He serves on several national and international committees related to his clinical and research work. He, currently, is a research mentor for Ramathibodi's Scholarship recipient of Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program 2018 - Ms. Pichatorn Suppakitjanusant.

 

On August 22, 2019 at Office of the Dean, Prof.Piyamitr Sritara-Dean- provided an official warm welcome to Prof.Manoj Kumar Karmakar-Director of Paediatric Anaesthesia at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Prince of Wales Hospital, Shatin in Hong Kong, on occasion of appointing as a visiting professor at Department of Anesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University during Aug 19 - September 29, 2019.

 
The Division of Neurointerventional Radiology, Department of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiology, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University; along with Medtronic Co.Ltd., cohosted "MEDICAL EDUCATION NEUROVASCULAR COILING TREATMENT WORKSHOP 2019" during August 1-2, 2019 at Somdech Phra Debaratana Medical Center (SDMC). The workshop led by several honorable Speakers from Ramathibodi's Division of Neurointerventional Radiology  including Prof. Sirintara Singhara na Ayudhaya, Dr. Ekachat Chanthanaphak, Asst.Prof. Chai Kobkitsuksakul, Dr. Pakorn Jirakongmun, Dr. Mungkorn Apirakkan, Dr. Kittiphop Somboonnithiphol and Dr. Peerapon Glueangapapong
 
 
The program is intended to provide physicians with a broad understanding of overall techniques for the treatment of Brain Aneurysm. During the session, participants
will review the embolization techniques with coils, and will discuss procedures of balloon remodeling and stenting. During this course, participants will be present side by side to discuss interactively all aspects of coiling treatment.

 

 

On July 30, 2019 at Meeting Room no.3, Office of the Dean, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University; Prof. Sirintara Na Ayudhaya, Deputy Dean for International Relations provided warm welcome to Prof. Denis Le Bihan, Director of NeuroSpin Institute, CEA Saclay, France, on the occasion of visit to continue his project towards Prostate MRI cases in advance and the MR acquisition/ processing techniques with Ramathibodi's team of Abdominal radiologists.

 

On July 26th, 2019, Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, Dean, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital; along with his Deputy Dean for International Relations, Prof.Sirintara Singhara na Ayudhaya, participated executive trip with Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, Acting President of Mahidol University and Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Acting Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication; in order to attended China - ASEAN Medical Education Symposium & Roundtable Discussion on Establishing China-ASEAN University Consortium on Medical and Health Education, Research and Healthcare at Guiyang International ECO-Conference Center, Guiyang, China.

The Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital would therefore greatly benefit from having representatives attending this event as it would help building academic relationship with other participating institutions.

 

 

 

 

On June 26th, 2019, Prof.Sirintara Singhara Na Ayudahaya, Deputy Dean for International Relations, along with Prof. Alisa Limsuwan, Deputy Dean for School of Hospital Management and the pediatric cardiology team, provided warm welcome to Dr.John Hamilton, Special Assistant to Executive Vice Chancellor from UCLA California NanoSystems Institute, USA on occasion of his official visit.

The purpose of the visit is to have discussion for significant activity in upcoming February 2020; Bangkok International Fetal Echocardiography Symposium and starting to have collaborative discussion on the possibility for MOU and Joint Unit in the future.

The meeting included a lively discussion and a commitment to more research exchanges  in the area of Audiology & Speech-Pathology. 

 

For the past five years, the European Stroke Winter School, endorsed by the ESO, ESNR and ESMINT, has been held in Bern, Switzerland. Its approach is unique: Interventionists and neurologists from an existing or potential stroke treatment site apply together to attend the course, and are trained together to go home and start their service. In recent years, more than 300 participants from over 20 countries have participated. The course format has turned out to be a successful way to spark interest in providing comprehensive and endovascular stroke treatment services throughout Europe. The course will take place from 18th – 21st June 2019 at the Stroke International Services Hospital in Can Tho City, Vietnam.

On this occasion, Prof.Sirintara Singhara Na Ayudahaya, Deputy Dean for International Relations of Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, has greatly been invited as an honorable speaker and immediate Past President of World Federation of Interventional and Therapeutic Neuroradiology (WFITN).

 

 

Assoc.Prof. Sittiwat Lertsiri, Dean of Faculty of Science, Mahidol University and Asst.Prof.Suchin Worawichawong, M.D., Assistant Dean for International Relations along with Prof.Suradej Hongeng, M.D., Assistant Dean for Research; as the representatives of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University; attended a reception at the French Ambassador’s residence on Monday 17 June 2019 at 6.30 pm on the occasion of the visit to Thailand of Dr. Raphaël RODRIGUEZ, laureate of the Tetrahedron Prize 2019. On this occasion, the reception was presided over by Mr. Jacques Lapouge, the French Ambassador to Thailand.

On June 10, 2019, Prof. Piyamitr Sritara,M.D., Dean; along with his Deputy Dean for International Relations, Prof. Sirintara Singhara na Ayudhaya,M.D., and Deputy Dean for School of Hospital Management, Prof. Alisa Limsuwan, M.D.; provided a warm hospitality for Dr. Tivakorn Kasemsri, Chief, Division of Pediatric, Texas Tech University Health Science Center, USA and Ms. Michelle Ensminger, Senior Director of Global Health Office on their official visit for the possibility of creating a platform of a sustainable collaboration between the 2 institutes.

On this occassion, the 2 representatives from Texas Tech University Health Science Center had a good chace to spend time in the afternoon visiting a new campus at Chakri Naruebodindra Medical Institute Institue at Bang Phli Distric, Samut Prakarn Province.
