NEW ACADEMIC EXCHANGE AGREEMENT WITH CAS, CHINA
On December 8, 2017, the signing ceremony for new academic exchange agreement between the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand and Institute of Applied Technology, Hefei Institutes of Physical Science, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), China, was held within the at The Royal Thai Army Club, Bangkok, Thailand.
This new agreement is aimed to establish the official relationship on academic cooperation, including the academic exchange and research collaboration between the two institutes. By this event, Prof.Dr.Lui Yong, Deputy Director of Institute of Applied Technology, and Prof.Deng Cuoqing, Director of Science and Technology Development Department CASHIPS was attending as the representatives from CAS while Prof. Boonsong Ongphiphadhanakul. M.D., Deputy Dean for Research was attending as representatives from Ramathibodi.
On 26th May, 2017 at Athasit Vejajiva room, 5th floor, Queen Sirikit Medical Center. Prof. Sirintara Singhara Na Ayudhaya, Deputy dean for International relation gave an opening address for The 2nd Joint Conference Ramathibodi – Osaka University under the theme of “Active Aging” to the team of executives, speakers, medical instructors and distinguished participants from both Osaka University, Japan and Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand. The Key note speakers of the joint conference held in this year are Prof. Ken Nakata, the Director of Center of Global Health, Osaka University and Dr. Wiwat Rojanapithayakorn, the Director of the Center for Health Policy and Management, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University. It was a good opportunity of them to exchange views on various issues about “Active aging” in term of Radiology , Health Examination ,Genomics , Reproductive medicine and Sport medicine in order to strengthen the official collaboration between the 2 institutes.
On May 15, 2017 at Meeting Room No.1, Office of the Dean, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Professor Piyamitr Sritara, M.D., FRCP, FACP, FRCP (T), Dean along with Professor Sirintara Singhara Na Ayudhaya, M.D., Deputy Dean for International Relations and Professor Boonsong Ongphiphadhanakul, M.D., Deputy Dean for Research provided a warm welcome to Professor Peter Monk, BSc, PhD., Professor of Immunology, Department of Infection, Immunity & Cardiovascular Disease, University of Sheffield for his visit to Thailand.
With this good opportunities, he visited Ramathibodi in order to discuss about the new research collaboration, in addition he provided the special lecture about his new project about New Strategy for Preventing Bacterial and Yeast Infections in Skin that would be benefit for our young staff in the specific area.

On May 2, 2017, Prof.Piyamitr Sritara, Dean of Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital and Professor Hsiung Chou, Dean of College of Science, National Sun Yat Sen University, Taiwan as the representatives from each institute, attended the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony at Room 423, 4th Floor, Medical Learning Resource Center and Ramathibodi School of Nursing Building, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Thailand.
This MOU is the collaboration between Ramathibodi’s Doctor of Philosophy Program in Translational Medicine (International Program) and National Sun Yat Sen University’s Biomedical Sciences Institute in order to established the official long-term research collaboration and Joint Duo Program which will offers great benefits to both institutions.
National Sun Yat Sen University is a public, postgraduate-oriented research university located in Sizihwan, Gushan District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It is essentially a national think tank attributed to its more than half organizations are research institutes, some of them were founded by the government of the United States, Japan and European Commission. Despite its medium size, NSYSU is considered as one of the most prestigious universities in the Cross-Strait territory. It ranks as one of world's top 400 colleges and Taiwan's 3rd best ranked business school, furthermore, one of 50 best universities under the age of 50 worldwide.

The MOU between Ramathibodi and CEA is aimed to continue the official relationship on academic activities and research collaboration. By this event, Professor Vincent BERGER, Director General of the Fundamental Research Division of CEA and Professor Piyamitr Sritara, M.D., FRCP, FACP,FRCP(T), Dean of Ramathibodi, attended as representative of each institute, along with the participation by the honorable witnesses and delegates including; Professor Sansanee Chaiyaroj, Ph.D. Acting Vice President for Research and International Relations of Mahidol University, Professor Philippe LEBOULCH, CEA’s High Counselor for Medical Innovation and International Scientific Director, Ramathibodi administrative team and the other honorable delegates from Mahidol University, CEA and French Embassy joined as the witness of the ceremony.
