At the forefront of medical education and health systems innovation, the Division of Health Systems Science (HSS) at our medical school is dedicated to shaping future leaders in healthcare and global health. We integrate Health Systems Science into our curriculum to equip students with the tools needed to navigate, influence, and improve complex health systems at local and global levels. Health Systems Science bridges clinical care and broader health system influences, covering healthcare delivery, teamwork, and the socio-economic and political dimensions of health.
Our curriculum emphasizes systems thinking, team-based care, and healthcare economics, preparing students to transform health systems effectively. Beyond education, our division serves as a hub for cutting-edge health policy and systems research. We contribute significantly to healthcare management and health policy analysis, drawing on methodologies from global leaders like the World Health Organization’s Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research (AHPSR) and working with domestic partners such as Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI) and Health Systems Research Institute (HSRI), our research and strategic development aims to influence policies and practices that improve health outcomes locally and globally.
We also offer consultancy services that assist governmental and private organizations design robust health policies and promote sustainable development in healthcare delivery systems. Through partnerships, we support global health initiatives, advocating for policies that are not only evidence-based but also equitable, resilient, and sustainable.
