During 21-22, 28 October 2024, Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, was honoured to instruct a workshop on Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
The previous two days workshop covered the content related to systematic review methodology, searching for relevant studies, and basic to advanced meta-analysis. The workshop was led and instructed by Prof. Dr. Ammarin Thakkinstian (Head of Department), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sasivimol Rattanasiri, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunyarat Anothaisintawee, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oraluck Pattanaprateep, Assoc. Prof. Kunlawat Thadanipon, Assoc. Prof. Prapaporn Pornsuriyasak, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pawin Numthavaj, Asst. Prof. Dr. Suparee Wisawapipat Boonmanunt, Dr. Chaiyawat Suppasilp (lecturers from Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics), along with the department staff and Dr. Amarit Tansawet (a lecturer from Department of Research and Medical Innovation, Faculty of Medicine Vajira Hospital, Navamindradhiraj University).
This workshop project had aimed to equip lecturers, researchers, interested individuals, including graduate students with comprehensive knowledge, understanding, and practical skills in preparing review articles in the form of Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses, under the guidance of experts. Participants gained the capability to conduct these processes accurately and efficiently. Additionally, the workshop had sought to promote graduate students' ability to produce internationally recognized academic papers, increase citation counts for Mahidol University, and facilitate faster completion of graduate studies.
