During October 14–15, 2025, representatives from the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, led by Asst. Prof. Suchin Worrawichawong, M.D., Deputy Dean for International Relations, together with Assoc. Prof. Surasak Kantachuvesiri, M.D., Head of the Organ Transplantation Center, visited the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) to discuss future collaboration in organ transplantation.
The delegation met with Dr. Susath Vongphachanh, M.D., Ph.D., Director of Mahosot Hospital, and Dr. Noot Sengthavisouk, representative from Mittaphab Hospital in Vientiane. During the meeting, the three parties explored potential collaboration under the ISN–TTS Sister Transplant Centers Program and signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to jointly develop kidney transplantation programs in Lao PDR.
The initiative aims to enhance the capacity of medical personnel, promote knowledge exchange, and strengthen organ transplant services to meet international standards.
This collaboration marks another important milestone for Ramathibodi in expanding its international network and reinforcing Thailand’s role in supporting organ transplant development across the ASEAN region.
รามาธิบดีหารือความร่วมมือด้านการปลูกถ่ายอวัยวะกับสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว
ระหว่างวันที่ 14 – 15 ตุลาคม 2568 ผู้แทนจากคณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล นำโดย ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์นายแพทย์สุชิน วรวิชชวงษ์ รองคณบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ พร้อมด้วย รองศาสตราจารย์นายแพทย์สุรศักดิ์ กันตชูเวสศิริ หัวหน้าศูนย์ปลูกถ่ายอวัยวะ เดินทางเข้าพบ Dr. Susath Vongphachanh, M.D., Ph.D. ผู้อำนวยการโรงพยาบาลมโหสถ และ Dr. Noot Sengthavisouk ผู้แทนจากโรงพยาบาลมิดตะพาบ นครหลวงเวียงจันทน์ สาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว
ในการนี้ ทั้งสามฝ่ายได้หารือแนวทางความร่วมมือภายใต้โครงการ ISN-TTS Sister Transplant Centers Program และร่วมลงนาม หนังสือแสดงเจตนารมณ์ความร่วมมือ (Letter of Intent) เพื่อพัฒนาโครงการปลูกถ่ายไตใน สปป.ลาว โดยมีเป้าหมายในการเสริมสร้างศักยภาพบุคลากรทางการแพทย์ แลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ และพัฒนาระบบบริการปลูกถ่ายอวัยวะให้มีมาตรฐานระดับสากล
ความร่วมมือดังกล่าวนับเป็นอีกก้าวสำคัญของคณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดีในการขยายเครือข่ายความร่วมมือระดับนานาชาติ และส่งเสริมบทบาทของประเทศไทยในการสนับสนุนการพัฒนางานปลูกถ่ายอวัยวะในภูมิภาคอาเซียน
