BANGKOK, Thailand – The Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, hosted the 8th Mahidol University – University of Osaka Hospital Academic Conference on August 21, 2025, commemorating Ramathibodi Hospital's 60th anniversary. The theme of the joint conference this year is 'Bridging Continents, Advancing Health: Collaborative Innovations in NCD, Obesity, and Global Well-being. The event took place in Room 623, 2nd Floor of the Administrative Building at the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital.
The conference was officially opened by Clin.Prof.Artit Ungkanant, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University. In his opening remarks, the Dean expressed appreciation for the partnership and emphasized the critical importance of international collaboration in advancing health innovations and improving population well-being.
The academic gathering brought together faculty members and researchers from both Mahidol University and the University of Osaka Hospital to exchange knowledge across multiple health dimensions. Distinguished international speakers included Professor Ken Nakata, M.D., Director of the Center for Global Health at the University of Osaka Hospital, who delivered a presentation titled "New Perspective on Global Health" while Professor Emeritus Wichai Aekplakorn, M.D. also presented on "Growing Burden of NCDs: Real-world challenges and policy imperatives in Thailand."
The conference featured specialized sessions covering diverse medical topics, including regulations in medical innovation development, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), presentations by promising young investigators, ongoing collaborative research initiatives, obesity management, and cutting-edge medical technology applications.
This academic forum represents a significant platform for fostering international partnerships and advancing innovative approaches to treating non-communicable diseases and obesity, while promoting the development of modern health technologies. The collaboration aims to enhance healthcare system efficiency in Thailand and contribute to global health improvement efforts. The conference demonstrates the commitment and potential of both the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital and the University of Osaka Hospital in jointly advancing medical knowledge and promoting sustainable population health for the future.
เมื่อวันที่ 21 สิงหาคม 2568 ณ ห้องบรรยาย 623 ชั้น 2 อาคารบริหาร คณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล คณะฯ เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดงานประชุมวิชาการ The 8th Mahidol University – The University of Osaka Hospital เนื่องในโอกาสครบรอบ 60 ปีรามาธิบดี ภายใต้หัวข้อหลัก "Bridging Continents, Advancing Health: Collaborative Innovations in NCD, Obesity, and Global Well-being" โดยงานประชุมได้รับเกียรติจาก ศ.คลินิก นพ.อาทิตย์ อังกานนท์ คณบดีคณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี เป็นประธานกล่าวเปิดงาน ได้แสดงความยินดีและเน้นย้ำถึงความสำคัญของความร่วมมือระดับนานาชาติในการพัฒนานวัตกรรมด้านสุขภาพและความเป็นอยู่ที่ดีของประชาชน
ภายในงานมีคณาจารย์และนักวิจัยจากมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดลและ The University of Osaka Hospital ประเทศญี่ปุ่น ร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ด้านสุขภาพในหลากหลายมิติ พร้อมกับวิทยากรผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิระดับนานาชาติ อาทิ Prof. Ken Nakata, M.D., Director of the Center for Global Health จาก The University of Osaka Hospital ซึ่งได้บรรยายในหัวข้อ “New Perspective on Global Health” และ ศ.เกียรติคุณ นพ.วิชัย เอกพลากร ที่บรรยายหัวข้อ “Growing Burden of NCDs: Real-world challenges and policy imperatives in Thailand” นอกจากนี้ ยังมีการบรรยายในหัวข้อเฉพาะทาง ที่ครอบคลุมทั้ง Regulations in Medical Innovation Development หรือการศึกษากฎระเบียบและการพัฒนานวัตกรรมทางการแพทย์, โรคไม่ติดต่อเรื้อรัง (NCD), Young Investigator หรือกลุ่มนักวิจัยรุ่นใหม่ที่มีผลงานเด่น, งานวิจัยร่วมต่อเนื่อง (Ongoing Collaborative Research), โรคอ้วน (Obesity) และเทคโนโลยีล้ำสมัย (Cutting Edge Technology)
การประชุมครั้งนี้ถือเป็นเวทีสำคัญที่เปิดโอกาสส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศ และผลักดันนวัตกรรมใหม่ๆ ในการดูแลโรคไม่ติดต่อ โรคอ้วน รวมทั้งการพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีสุขภาพสมัยใหม่ เพื่อนำไปสู่การพัฒนาระบบบริการสุขภาพที่มีประสิทธิภาพของประเทศไทยและประชาคมโลก ซึ่งสะท้อนถึงศักยภาพและความมุ่งมั่นของคณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดีและ The University of Osaka Hospital ในการร่วมกันขับเคลื่อนองค์ความรู้และส่งเสริมสุขภาพของประชาชนสู่อนาคตที่ยั่งยืนอย่างแท้จริง
