On November 21, 2024, the Chakri Naruebodindra Medical Institute, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, in partnership with the Wi-Fi Alliance and key companies such as HPE Aruba (a subsidiary of HPE), Intel, and Meta, successfully concluded a 7-month trial of 6 GHz Wi-Fi technology. This groundbreaking technology is poised to revolutionize the future of healthcare.
The event commenced with opening remarks by Clinical Professor Artit Ungkanont, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, followed by congratulatory speeches from Mr. Andrew Shaw and Mr. Kevin Toohers of the US Embassy; Clinical Professor Sarana Boonbaichaiyapruck, M.D., Chairman of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission; Professor ML. Chakri Kitiyakara, M.D., and Assistant Professor Sitthakhom Phusanti, M.D., representing the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital and the Chakri Naruebodindra Medical Institute, respectively.
The results of the trials showcased the immense potential of 6 GHz Wi-Fi in enriching medical education. The project underscored that harnessing the full capabilities of the 6 GHz frequency band is crucial for modernizing healthcare and leveraging cutting-edge Wi-Fi technologies to enhance hospital operations and efficacy.
This successful endeavor highlights the pivotal role of the 6 GHz band in advancing healthcare practices and maximizing the benefits of advanced Wi-Fi technologies for operational efficiency within hospitals.

โดยได้รับเกียรติกล่าวเปิดงาน โดย ศ.คลินิก นพ.อาทิตย์ อังกานนท์ คณบดี คณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี, Mr.Andrew Shaw และ Mr.Kevin Toohers จากสถานเอกอัครราชทูตสหรัฐอเมริกา, ศ.คลินิก นพ.สรณ บุญใบชัยพฤกษ์ ประธานกรรมการกิจการกระจายเสียง กิจการโทรทัศน์ และกิจการโทรคมนาคมแห่งชาติ, ศ. นพ. ม.ล.ชาครีย์ กิติยากร และ ผศ. นพ.สิทธาคม ผู้สันติ จากคณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี
ในการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการที่ผ่านมานี้ ได้นำเสนอผลการทดลองที่แสดงให้เห็นถึงคุณค่าของ Wi-Fi ย่าน 6 GHz ในการเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการเรียนการสอนด้านแพทยศาสตร์ศึกษา ซึ่งโครงการนี้แสดงให้เห็นว่าการใช้งานย่านความถี่ 6 GHz แบบเต็มรูปแบบจะเป็นรากฐานในการปรับปรุงการดูแลสุขภาพให้ทันสมัยและนำเทคโนโลยี Wi-Fi ขั้นสูงมาใช้เพื่อปรับปรุงการดำเนินงานและประสิทธิภาพในโรงพยาบาล
จากความสำเร็จนี้ แสดงให้เห็นว่าการใช้งานย่านความถี่ 6 GHz แบบเต็มรูปแบบจะเป็นรากฐานในพัฒนาการดูแลสุขภาพให้ทันสมัย อีกทั้ง การนำเทคโนโลยี Wi-Fi ขั้นสูงมาใช้ยังช่วยปรับปรุงการดำเนินงานของโรงพยาบาลให้มีประสิทธิภาพมากยิ่งขึ้น
