On April 9, 2025, at the Meeting Room no.3, 5th floor, Administrative Building, the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Phayathai Campus; a warm welcome was extended to Professor John McMurray, a renowned cardiologist from the University of Glasgow and honorary Consultant Cardiologist at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow. Dr. Pairoj Boonkongcheun, M.D., Deputy Dean - representing the Dean, along with Associate Professor Sirin Apiyasawat, M.D., Assistant Dean for International Relations; Assistant Professor Pongtong Puranitee, M.D., Deputy Dean for Undergraduate Education; Associate Professor Teerapat Yingchoncharoen, M.D., Assistant Dean for Innovations and Cooperation, and Dr. Bundit Naratreekoon, M.D., from the Division of Cardiology of the Department of Internal Medicine, joined together to provided a warm welcome for Professor McMurray who was invited as a distinguished speaker at the Heart Failure Experts Forum, presenting on "Emerging Therapies for Heart Failure: Exploring Novel Pharmacological Agents." His visit aimed to discuss opportunities for potential research collaboration and to strengthen the partnership between Ramathibodi and the University of Glasgow.
