Virtual Academic Mobility with Juntendo: On Family Medicine

On July 13, 2021, 18.00 P.M. – 19.30 P.M., Juntendo University, Japan, together with the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand, co-hosted a Virtual Academic Mobility via the web conferencing platform Zoom under the theme of “Family Medicine”. This online meeting focused on exchanging knowledge through the presentation and discussion which bring more opportunities and broader viewpoints on each research project presented.

The virtual event was a resounding success with 89 participants, from both Ramathibodi and Juntendo. The presentation session started with the lecture on “The Aging Situation and Family Medicine in Thailand”, presented by Dr. Unyaporn Suthutvoravut, M.D.,from the Department of Family Medicine, Ramathibodi,  while another 2 presentations  were presented by Senior Assoc. Prof. Yokokawa Hirohide  from Juntendo University; “Health literacy for life related diseases” and “the aging situation in Japan”.  The event ended with the Q&A session which also received lot of attention from all participants.

Despite the pandemic and the inability in reaching interested people offline, Ramathibodi and partners are still proactive in online dissemination with a great effort on social media and online events in hope to support further academic and research collaboration.
