On October 3, 2023, a welcome event for a delegation from Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Kuala Terengganu (UNISZA), Malaysia, took place at Meeting room no. 518, 5th floor of the Medical Learning Resource Center and Ramathibodi School of Nursing Building, located at the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University. Assoc. Prof. Sirin Apiyasawat, M.D., Assistant Dean for International Relations and Research Collaborations, warmly welcomed a delegation from UNISZA.. The visiting team was led by Prof. Dr. Harmy Bin Mohamed Yusoff, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Dr. Yeo Chew Chieng, Chairperson of The Centre for Research in Infectious Diseases and Biotechnology (CeRIDB). In attendance were esteemed members of Ramathibodi's faculty staff including Prof. Dr. Atiporn Ingsathit, Deputy Director of Ramathibodi Hospital; Em. Prof. Wasun Chantratita, Ph.D., Head of the Center for Medical Genomics; Prof. Dr. Suradej Hongeng, M.D., Assistant Dean for Research; Assoc. Prof. Thanyanan Baisamut, M.D., Deputy Head of the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Oncology; Assist. Prof. Pongtong Puranitee, M.D., Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Education; and Dr. Thanaporn Thamrongjirapat, M.D., Lecturer, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Oncology.
During the event, there were brief presentations covering various topics related to the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital; Hospital Management System, Precision Health: The Integration of Functional Medicine and Genomic Medicine, Research in Hematology/Oncology, Molecular Alteration of Lung Cancer in the Thai Population, and finally, the Undergraduate Program Curriculum. In the afternoon, the visitors enjoyed a facility tour of Ramathibodi Research Center, Somdech Phra Debaratana Medical Center (SDMC), and concluded at the Center for Medical Genomics, Ramathibodi Hospital. It was an enriching and productive day of exchange and collaboration.
