Bangkok, Thailand - On January 30, 2025, the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, in collaboration with the National Health Security Office of Thailand, co-organized the Field Trip for the Prince Mahidol Award International Conference (PMAC) 2025, an international conference themed "Harnessing Technology in an Age of AI to Build a Healthier World".
The event, held mainly at the Meeting Room No. 910 A-B, kicked off with a lively Thai dancing performance to welcome the 50 PMAC participants from around the world. Clinical Professor Artit Ungkanont, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, delivered the welcome speech.
The conference featured a keynote presentation by Professor Chagriya Kitiyakara MBBS (Lond), FRCP, Deputy Dean for Innovation and Cooperation, on "Empowering Digital Healthcare Innovation: A Thai Medical School Perspective". This was followed by several topic presentations, including:
- Opportunities and Challenges for AI in Healthcare in Thailand by Sak Segkhoonthod, Ph.D.
- Open Medical Data Platform by Assoc. Prof. Sith Phongkitkarun, M.D.
- The Future of Healthcare in the Metaverse by Natee Theppot, DBA.
- AR/VR for Palliative Care by Siriporn Semsarn, Dip.APAGN., MNS.
- AR/VR for Medical Training by Benrita Jitaree, M.D., Ph.D.
During the coffee break, participants actively engaged with cutting-edge healthcare innovations on display at the exhibition, which included:
- Exhibition A: Open Medical Data Platform and Outputs (e.g., RAMAAI, Stroke AI, AI for Liver Ultrasound).
- Exhibition B: AR/VR for Anatomy.
- Exhibition C: AR/VR for Palliative Care.
- Exhibition D: The Ramathibodi Virtual Reality Triage (RVRT).
- Exhibition E: VIS4ION Thailand.
The conference concluded with a panel discussion and Q&A session on "Next Steps for AI and Metaverse Integration in Healthcare", featuring Prof. Chagriya Kitiyakara MBBS (Lond), FRCP, Sak Segkhoonthod, Ph.D., Natee Theppot, DBA., Assoc. Prof. Sith Phongkitkarun, M.D., and Benrita Jitaree, Ph.D. as panelists.
After a day filled with inspiration and knowledge sharing, participants enjoyed a cultural excursion, visiting the awe-inspiring Wat Benchamabophit (The Marble Temple) and the historic Parutsakawan Palace, immersing themselves in Thailand's rich heritage.
As the day concluded, the buzz of ideas and connections lingered, setting the stage for transformative advancements in healthcare. The PMAC 2025 has undoubtedly embarked on a path to harness technology for a healthier future!

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ รามาฯ เปิดบ้านต้อนรับผู้เข้าร่วมประชุมวิชาการนานาชาติ Prince Mahidol Award 2025 (PMAC) จากทั่วโลกกว่า 50 คน โชว์เคสความก้าวหน้านวัตกรรมทางการแพทย์ AI Metaverse
วันที่ 30 มีนาคม 2568 คณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล โดยภาควิชารังสีวิทยา ฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ และ ศูนย์พัฒนานวัตกรรมทางการแพทย์ (MIND Center) ร่วมกับสำนักงานหลักประกันสุขภาพแห่งชาติ (สปสช.) จัดงาน Field Trip ภายใต้การประชุมสัมนานานาชาติ Prince Mahidol Award International Conference (PMAC) 2025 ภายใต้หัวข้อ "Harnessing Technology in an Age of AI to Build a Healthier World"
การจัดงานดังกล่าวอยู่ภายใต้แนวคิด “Establishing an Open Data Platform for AI Development and Utilizing Metaverse in Medical Training and Patient Care In Thailand” โดยมี ศ.คลินิก นพ. อาทิตย์ อังกานนท์ คณบดีคณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี กล่าวเปิดงาน และการบรรยายพิเศษจาก ศ.นพ. ม.ล. ชาครีย์ กิติยากร รองคณบดีฝ่ายนวัตกรรมและคู่ความร่วมมือ หัวข้อ "Empowering Digital Healthcare Innovation: A Thai Medical School Perspective" และการนำเสนอหัวข้อสำคัญ ได้แก่:
- โอกาสและความท้าทายของ AI ในการดูแลสุขภาพในประเทศไทย โดย ดร. ศักดิ์ เสกขุนทด ที่ปรึกษาผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิด้าน Digital Transformation จาก ETDA

- AR/VR สำหรับการฝึกอบรมทางการแพทย์ โดย อาจารย์ ดร.เบญริตา จิตอารี โรงเรียนแพทย์รามาธิบดี สถาบันการแพทย์จักรีนฤบดินทร์ฯ
รวมถึงภายในงานยังมีการโชว์เคสผลงานนวัตกรรมทางการแพทย์ของทีมรามาฯ ในด้าน AI Mataverse และเทคโนโลยี อื่นๆ อาทิ Open Medical Data Platform, RAMAAI (รามาเอไอ) หรือ ระไม, AR/VR สำหรับการเรียนรู้กายวิภาคและสำหรับการดูแลผู้ป่วยระยะสุดท้าย เป็นต้น
นอกจากนี้ผู้เข้าร่วมจากหลากหลายประเทศยังประทับใจกับการต้อนรับระดับ World Class เริ่มต้นด้วยการรำไทยต้อนรับคณะ การจัดอาหารว่างแบบไทยที่หาทานได้ยาก และในช่วงท้ายของงาน ผู้เข้าร่วมได้สัมผัสกับวัฒนธรรมไทยจากการเยี่ยมชมวัดเบญจมบพิตร และวังปารุสักวัน ขยายความรู้สึกถึงมรดกทางประวัติศาสตร์และวัฒนธรรมไทย
PMAC 2025 เป็นการเริ่มต้นที่สำคัญในการผลักดันเทคโนโลยีเพื่ออนาคตที่มีสุขภาพดีขึ้นอย่างยั่งยืน
