Welcome 3 UK Research Fellows from Thai-HEE

On February 17, 2023, at the Meeting Room no.713, 7th floor, Medical Learning Resource Center and Ramathibodi School of Nursing Building, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand, Prof.Sirintara Singhara Na Ayudhaya, M.D.- Deputy Dean for International Relations and Research Collaborations, together with Assoc. Prof. Soamarat Vilaiyuk, M.D.-Assistant Dean for Graduate Education, and Dr.Rapeephan R Maude, M.D. from the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Internal Medicine, provided a warm welcome and orientation to the 3 research fellows; Dr.Rebecca Walshe, Dr.Ellen Beer, and Dr.Jordanna Nunes, from the Thailand Global Health Research Fellowship (TGHR) which is the project under Thai-Health Education England Project collaborations. 
The Thailand Global Health Research Fellowship (TGHR) is a Managed Education Partnership (MEP), a bilateral exchange of medical fellows providing Thai doctors with an opportunity to work and learn in the UK, and NHS doctors with interest in global health the opportunity to undertake a research fellowship in university hospitals in Thailand. The programme offers 12-month global health fellowships focusing on global health in a healthcare system that is different in resource and structure to the NHS. Fellows will partner with teams in Thai medical schools, universities, and hospitals.  Fellows will be supported by an experienced team of mentors, clinical supervisors, and research partner organizations. A stipend is provided for the duration of the program.
