
On 30th September 2024, Mahidol University, under the leadership of Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, President, actively engaged in the ASEAN-Korea Biohealth Networking Day 2024 at CHA BIO Complex in Seoul, Republic of Korea. The event, themed "Moving Toward Asia: A New Era in Global Biohealth," brought together distinguished individuals including Clin. Prof. Artit Ungkanont, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Assoc. Prof. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Acting Vice President for Research, Prof. Suradej Hongeng, Deputy Dean for Special Affairs at the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Prof. Apichat Asavamongkolkul, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, and Asst. Prof. Somponnat Sampattavanich from the Department of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, all representing Mahidol University.
During the event, Clin. Prof. Artit Ungkanont, M.D., Dean of Ramathibodi, provided a speech alongside other members of the delegation from Mahidol University, highlighting the vast potential for collaborative efforts to enhance biohealth initiatives. The primary objective of the gathering was to promote networking and advance research in Biohealth and Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products within the ASEAN region and the Republic of Korea. Noteworthy participants from both the government and private sectors of Thailand also graced the event, underscoring the importance of such initiatives in fostering regional cooperation and innovation in healthcare.
