Ramathibodi Receives “Torito de Pucará” Statue Celebrating Thailand–Peru Friendship

On December 4, 2025, at the Main Hall, 1st floor of the Main Building,  Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, the Ramathibodi Foundation organized a ceremony to accept a sculptural work, the Bull Statue (Torito de Pucará), a contemporary artwork symbolizing the friendship between Thailand and Peru. The ceremony was honored by the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to Thailand and the executive committee.


Clin. Prof. Artit Ungkanont, M.D., Dean, together with Chairman of the Ramathibodi Foundation Executive Committee, presided over the ceremony to receive the sculptural work, accompanied by H.E. Ms. Cecilia Zunilda Galarreta Bazán, Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to Thailand. The event was attended by executives and distinguished guests, including Pairoj Boonkongcheun, M.D., Vice Chairman of the Ramathibodi Foundation Executive Committee and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mrs. Punsiree Kunakornpaiboonsiri, Manager of the Ramathibodi Foundation, Assoc. Prof. Prakasit Chirappapha, M.D., Board Member of the Ramathibodi Foundation, and Mr. Martín Abarca, Third Secretary of the Embassy of Peru.


On this occasion, Mr. Vichai Bencharongkul, Chief Executive Officer and President, Benchachinda Holding Company Limited, graciously attended the ceremony and contributed a donation of 200,000 Baht to the Ramathibodi Foundation.
