Our lab is the subunit of intestinal epithelial transport (Prof. Chatchai‘s Lab). We intensively use human intestinal stem cells from crypts to generate mini-gut system. We can generate gastrointestinal disease model from mini-gut system, for instance, diarrheal disease model, human intestinal barrier disruption, ion transport, or nutrient transport. Many standardized extracts of tropical herbs are conducted for pharmacokinetics, metabolomics, allometric scaling, interspecies differences.

The goal of our lab is to provide deeper insight into regulation of membrane transport and signaling as well as identification of possible drug targets as well as candidates and uses this model to recapitulate mechanism of action.

We also collaborate with KU, KKU, PSU, CU, as well as local enterprise such as Vet products, to conduct our projects.
