1. The International Forum: "The Importance of Vaccines and Japan’s Role in Global Health" via the webinar on October 22, 2021.
This Special International Forum will focus on Japan’s global provision of COVID-19 vaccines, the COVAX Facility’s current status and prospects, and Japan’s future role in health diplomacy. Experts from the industry, government, academia, and the private sectors in Japan and abroad will engage in discussions on the significance of medicines, including vaccines, to global health and the role expected of Japan moving forward. The discussions will form the basis of policy recommendations to be released at a later time.

2. (Hybrid) Kick-off Symposium: Building a Reproductive Health Platform – Pursuing a Society That Provides Every Young Person Education and Consultation Opportunities (October 26, 2021)
Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) Women’s Health Project will host a kick-off symposium titled, “Building a Reproductive Health Platform – Pursuing a Society That Provides Every Young Person Education and Consultation Opportunities.” The event will be held both in-person and online using a hybrid format. In pursuit of creating a society that provides every young person opportunities for education and consultation on reproductive health, HGPI established a collaborative platform for reproductive health that unites industry, government, academia, and civil society called “Youth Terrace” this fiscal year.

3. The 100th HGPI Seminar – The History of HGPI and its Future Prospects (October 15, 2021)
To mark the occasion of our 100th HGPI Seminar, HGPI CEO and Board Member Mr. Ryoji Noritake will give a lecture titled, “The History of HGPI and its Future Prospects.” At this event, Mr. Noritake will talk about the history of HGPI since its establishment, its role as a non-profit, independent, non-partisan, private health policy think tank, and the unique characteristics and issues one encounters when operating a non-profit organization. He will also share insights on key future topics in domestic and international healthcare policy as well as on the prospects of HGPI moving forward.
