















The director of Ramathibodi School of Nursing attended the opening ceremony of the Master of Science Program in Well-Being and Sustainability Community, Amnat Charoen Campus project, Mahidol University.
On November 28, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Poolsuk Janepanish Visudtibhan, Director of Ramathibodi School of Nursing, attended the opening ceremony of the Master of Science Program in Well-Being and Sustainability Community, Amnat Charoen Campus project, Mahidol University. The ceremony was honored by Professor Piyamitr Sritara, MD, FRCP, President of Mahidol University, who delivered detailed remarks about the program.
On this occasion, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior, presided over the ceremony. Mr. Ansit Sampantarat, Permanent Secretary for Interior; Mr. Phasakorn Boonyalak, Director-General Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation; Mr. Chaiwat Chuntirapong, Director–General Department of Provincial Administration; Mr. Senee Somkhiawwan, Deputy Governor of Amnat Charoen; senators; member of the house of representatives, Amnat Charoen Province; Mahidol University executives; heads of government agencies; faculty members; staff; and students, gave a warm welcome to Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul. The event was held at the Community Learning and Environmental Research Center, Amnat Charoen Campus project, Mahidol University, Tambon Sang Nok Tha, Mueang Amnat Charoen District, Amnat Charoen Province.
The Master of Science Program in Well-Being and Sustainability Community is the first graduate program of the Amnat Charoen Campus project. The program is designed to address the specific needs of the area, with a learner-centered and self-development approach in an online format education. Students also have the option to attend on-site classes at various campuses, faculties, or institutes of Mahidol University. The program integrates knowledge of community well-being to address local challenges, applies modern digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI), and aims to develop change leaders (Change Agent). This aligns with the Ministry of Interior’s policy to upskill and reskill officers, equipping them with the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies for digital-era governance, with the ultimate goal of enhancing citizens' quality of life, building strong communities, and promoting sustainable and livable cities based on the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy.
The event also included an exhibition of projects from the Amnat Charoen Campus, an exhibition from the Plant Genetic Conservation Project Under the Royal Initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (RSPG), and displays of local community products from the Khor Eua Textile Weaving and Processing Vocational Promotion Project for individuals with limited financial resources in Non Nam Thaeng Subdistrict, Mueang Amnat Charoen District, Amnat Charoen Province. Additionally, there was a presentation on constructing an education building with four floors and two student dormitory buildings, totaling three buildings, with a combined value of over 370 million baht.
