Ramathibodi School of Nursing was founded on July 27, 1965 as part of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University. The initial curriculum was drawn up with expert advice in nursing education from the United States and sponsorship from the Rockefeller Center, giving the school a head start in providing the most modern nursing education in the Asian region.

 

           Ramathibodi School of Nursing has implemented small-class teaching among its undergraduate students, which fully encompasses a student-centered teaching process, mostly adopting PBL (Problem-Based Learning) and TBL (Team-Based Learning) teaching concepts. The undergraduate course emphasizes the study of nursing theory, nursing services, preventive health care and scientific research. At the same time, it focuses on the cultivating and training of students through theoretical and practical education. This approach helps facilitate our students in advanced knowledge, specific skillsets, critical thinking, decision-making ability, and teamwork/leadership competencies. The classrooms and clinical teaching of the school are carried out by highly qualified instructors that are rich in clinical knowledge and work experience. Ramathibodi Hospital School of Nursing has advanced educational concepts, promotes distinctive teaching practices, and offers first-class teaching, it is one of the most well-known and respected nursing schools found in Thailand and all of Southeast Asia. The school is well received and favored by Thai and international students alike. Consequently, the employment rate of graduate students of Ramathibodi School of Nursing is among the highest in Thailand.

Ramathibodi School of Nursing operates separate campuses, located in three different Provinces. All three of these campuses have passed AUNQA accreditation.

The original building at Phayathai, Bangkok serves the third and fourth year undergraduate nursing students, who study theory and take part in clinical practice at Ramathibodi Hospital. This location includes master students who also have clinical practices at Ramathibodi Hospital.

 

The second campus, which includes beautiful scenery, is located at Salaya, Nakorn Pratom Province which is about a 40-minute drive from Bangkok. This second building serves the first and second year undergraduate nursing students who primarily study basic science and fundamental nursing, this location also includes master and doctoral nursing students who take nursing theory courses.

The last campus, the Chakri Naruebodindra Medical Institute, partly serves the undergraduate and master nursing students who are practicing in various clinics.

 

          One of Thailand’s oldest and most prestigious public universities, Mahidol University began in 1888 as the medical school of Siriraj Hospital. In 1969 it was given the name Mahidol University, in honor of H.R.H. Prince Mahidol of Songkla, who is known as the Father of Modern Medicine and Public Health in Thailand. The Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital at Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University is a nursing education institution college of nursing at in Mahidol University. Ramathibodi Hospital School of Nursing has advanced educational concepts, distinctive teaching features, and first-class teaching quality. It is one of the well-known nursing schools in Thailand and Southeast Asia. It is well received and favored by Thailand students and international students. The employment rate of graduates is also among the best of Thailand.
