Introducing the new undergrad curriculum “Double Degree Program” between Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Mahidol University, and School of Nursing and Midwifery, Deakin University

 

                           

               On May 4, 2022, Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University in collaboration with the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Deakin University, Australia organized the “Rama-Deakin Day” event. The event was live broadcast from room 517 of the Medical Learning Resource Center at the Ramathibodi School of Nursing Building via a virtual meeting using the Cisco WebEx platform.
                Associate Professor Dr. Poolsuk Janepanish Visudtibhan, the Director of Ramathibodi School of Nursing was honored to welcome the participants. Assistant Professor Dr. Streerut Thadakant, the Deputy Director for Policy and Planning Department and Ramathibodi Chakri Naruebodindra Hospital gave a speech about the background of the “Double Degree Program” that was approved by Mahidol University and Deakin University, Australia, which is the first collaboration curriculum in Thailand.
               Dr. Nuchanad Sutti, Deputy Director for Nursing Education Department shared information about the conditions and criteria for applicants of the “Double Degree Program”. Associate Professor Dr. Stephane Bouchoucha, Associate Head of School (International) for the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Deakin University, introduced the university and provided information about learning and teaching at the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
                  During a Q&A session, Assistant Professor Dr. Jumpee Granger, Deputy Director for International Relations along with Lecturer Dr. Nantanit Van Gulik, Deakin University Alumni, shared information, such as tuition fees, cost of living, accommodations, scholarships, etc. This information was provided to students and parents who are interested in the program. Graduates will receive two degrees, one from Mahidol University and another from Deakin University, this will allow these graduates to apply for jobs in either Thailand or Australia.
