The academic online conference titled “Ethical & Legal Considerations: Nurses Need to Know” via Zoom Meeting.
On April 4, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Poolsuk Janepanish Visudtibhan, Director of Ramathibodi School of Nursing, presided over the online conference titled “Ethical & Legal Considerations: Nurses Need to Know”, along with Assistant Professor Pichaya Thongpo, an Instructor from Division of Adult and Gerontology Nursing, and President of Rama Nurse Alumni, lectured on “Dealing with an emergency…without legal risk,” Instructor Prapassorn Pongpunpisand, Assistant Secretary and Committee member of Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council, lectured on “How do we work to be safe for both service recipients and providers?”, Busaba Netisarayaphakorn, R.N., a Nurse Specialist 8 from Nursing Department at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, and Committee of Ethic Center for Thailand Nursing, Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council, and Subcommittee of Ethic, 10th, Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council, lectured on “Ethical & Legal Issue: Case Concern”, and Nuth Graipaspong, M.D., Head of Forensic Psychiatric Services, Galya Rajanagarindra Institute, lectured on “Laws and care for psychiatric patients.” The conference was organized by Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, from April 4 to 5, 2024, via Zoom Meeting.
In this regard, Faculty members from Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, along with external luminaries, were invited as speakers to share their knowledge and understanding, exchanging information about laws related to nursing and midwifery, including analyzing ethical and legal issues in the nursing and midwifery profession.
Registered nurses, advanced practice nurses, and nurse educators from Thailand’s public and private sectors participated in the conference.
