Establishing an Educational Collaboration in Doctoral Nursing Study between Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand, and Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, Case Western Reserve University, U.S.A.

Associate Professor Dr. Poolsuk Janepanish Visudtibhan, Director of the Ramathibodi School of Nursing, and Associate Professor Dr. Manee Arpanantikul, faculty member of the Fundamental Nursing Division and the Chair of the Curriculum Development Committee for the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Nursing Science (International Program), Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, visited the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, Case Western Reserve University, U.S.A., from December 8-14, 2025. They were welcomed by Professor Dr. Ronald L. Hickman, Dean of the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, and Professor Dr. Mary T. Quinn Griffin, Associate Dean for Global Affairs.

The purpose of this visit was to discuss and establish educational cooperation for the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Nursing Science (International Program: BSN to PhD Program) between the two institutions. In this regard, discussions were held regarding a memorandum of agreement with Professor Dr. Ronald L. Hickman, Dean of the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, and Dr. Marvin T. Nieman, Vice Provost and Dean for Graduate Studies, Case Western Reserve University, U.S.A.

This included the meetings and discussions with educational administrators involved in the doctoral program, including Associate Professor Dr. Latina Brooks, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Program Chair; Associate Professor Dr. Susan Mazanec, Ph.D. Program Director; and the Arline H. and Curtis F. Garvin, Professors of Nursing Excellence. In addition, conversations about research collaboration were held with faculty members of the Ph.D. Program of the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, marking a sustainable collaboration to develop a high-quality doctoral program that meets international standards.
