Philosophy of the Program
The Doctor of Philosophy Program in Nursing Science is designed with the aims to prepare high quality nurse scientists with a breadth, depth, and advanced knowledge, a deep comprehension of principles and theories in nursing science, and a high competency in conducting high-quality scientific research. Learning-centered approach is emphasized for self-development of new knowledge and innovations responsive to health needs, teamwork and leadership in academics and nursing with concerns of cultural diversity, ethics and codes of professional conduct.
Objectives of the Program
By the end of the study, the graduates will have qualifications according to Thai Qualifications Framework for Higher Education as follows:
- Have academic integrity, professional code of conduct, and research ethics;
- Possess in-depth knowledge in nursing and health sciences, advanced research process, and knowledge development process;
- Synthesize new body of knowledge in nursing and health sciences to improve people’s health and quality of life using appropriate research process;
- Demonstrate good interpersonal relationship in team-working and responsibility towards individuals, society, and communities;
- Possess communication, numerical, and technology digital skills for searching, analyzing, presenting, and disseminating in nursing and health sciences.
