Virtual Academic Mobility with Kansai Medical University: 2nd Clinico-Pathological Conference

September 17, 2021, 17.30 P.M. – 19.30 P.M., the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand, together with Kansai Medical University, Japan, co-hosted the Virtual Academic Mobility via the web conferencing platform Zoom under the theme of "the 2nd Clinico-pathological Conference for students (Autopsy Findings)". This online activity focused on exchanging knowledge which brings more opportunities and broader viewpoints on the clinical pathology subject. Moreover, the activity yet encouraged students, both Thai and Japanese, to improve their English communication skills outside of their classes through the presentation and discussion.
The virtual event, moderated by Dr. Chisato Oh-e, the lecturer pathologist from KMU, was attended by 50 participants, from both Ramathibodi and KMU. After the opening remarks and the Self – introduction session by each student, the session of Clinical Medicine Quiz was conducted lively with students' participation and expert comments from Dr.Oh-e. The event ended with the Free Discussion which also received a lot of attention from all participants. On this occasion, Prof. Koichi Tomoda, President of KMU kindly attended the event as the observer.
Despite the pandemic and the inability in reaching interested people offline, Ramathibodi and partners are still proactive in online dissemination with a great effort on social media and online events in hope to support further academic and research collaboration.
