Philosophy and Justification of the Curriculum

The education philosophy of Mahidol University is “Administering education that focuses on educating the learners, as for them to attain academic achievement through learning-centered education, outcomes-based education, and constructivism.” Importantly, learners need to be trained to be skillful in the area of their own expertise in order to practice successfully.  This is also relevant to the educational plan of the higher education of the country, the philosophy of the higher education organization, and the academic standard and profession.

Master of Nursing Science (International Program) is an education management in response to the strategy of entering the ASEAN Community in terms of education, society, culture, and health. Emphasis on education to understand health, illness, and nursing in diverse cultures. It is a continuous learning experience with an emphasis on learning as adult learners and continuous self- development (Life Long Learning) using Internet-based distance education to strength and to produce the Master's degree with morality, ethics, and professional ethics as an academic person with knowledge and abilities in nursing, leadership, and the ability to work with others.

Objectives of the Program

After graduation from this program, graduates achieve the qualifications in accordance with the qualification standard for higher education as follows:

1. Be well rounded in nursing knowledge and evidence in related fields and be able to analyze those knowledges into academic work, research, and practice

2. Be able to provide care management in advanced nursing practice for individuals, families, or communities based on professional standards and codes of ethics 

3. Be able to conduct research to develop nursing care, solve health problems, or improve the health care system 

4. Have morality and academic ethics and professional ethics 

5. Have leadership skills, collaboration, critical thinking, digital technology, life long learning, mathematical skills, and communication skills
