7. Course Description: The elective rotation is designed for medical students, pediatric residents or any physicians who are interested in kidney diseases, kidney replacement therapy and fluid/electrolyte problems in pediatric patients.

8. Objectives:

  • To be able to gather information regarding history, physical examination and investigation for pediatric patients presenting with kidney diseases and fluid/electrolyte problems.
  • To be able to generate hypothesis and provide differential diagnosis for pediatric patients presenting with kidney diseases and fluid/electrolyte problems.
  • To be able to appropriately make the diagnosis and manage pediatric patients with kidney diseases and fluid/electrolyte problems.
  • To be able to explain pathophysiology of kidney diseases and fluid/electrolyte problems.
