Objectives

The Occupational Health and Toxicology program provides graduate students with the comprehensive curriculum that imparts the knowledge, skills, and preparation to:

1. Adhere moral standards, academic and professional ethics;

2. Apply knowledge, concept, theory related to occupational health and toxicology and engage

   self-directed learning;

3. Analyze and formulate solution to the health problems related to occupational health and toxicology

    using the evidence based practice; appriase research works; design and conduct occupational health researches

    using appropriate and ethical process;

4. Demonstrate self responsibility, cooperate effectively with others and exercise leadership skills

    where appropriate;

5. Demonstrate effective use of mathematical and statistical data, and use of information technology

    for self-study, presentation and effective communication to all target audiences.

 

 

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

 

The PLOs was established to accompany with the vision and mission of the faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital and Mahidol University. The vision and mission of the faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital and Mahidol University expected the world class university, excellence in health sciences, and a leader in national health advocacy. By the time of graduation, the students of the program will have the ability to:

 

1.3.1 Demonstrate moral and ethical values in occupational health and toxicology practice and research

 

1.3.2 Integrate principles and theories related to occupational health and toxicology into reality

         and practices and seek a way to improve knowledge continually and regularly

 

1.3.3  Evaluate health risk in diverse occupational situations and solve problems by

          using critical thinking and evidence-based practices

 

1.3.4  Conduct research to identify factors associated with the workers’ health problems

          and the interventions that would prevent, control or solve the problems

 

1.3.5  Take responsibility for assigned work and act as the leader and member of teamwork in occupational health and toxicology practice         

 

1.3.6  Select and use statistical methods to analyze data appropriately

 

1.3.7  Demonstrate good oral, written and information technology skills for information searching

          and communicating to professional groups, regulatory agencies and lay audiences
