X-ray

X-ray
Accidentally, Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen, a German physicist, discovered X-ray on November 8, 1895. He found that the ray could penetrate thick substances and make changes on films. Immensely, the X-ray benefits mankind by being used in X-ray machines, CT scanners, cancer treatment machines. In industry, it is used to find leakage or fracture of metal structures and to analyze substances. Moreover, it is used to check for hidden weapons or dangerous stuff in luggage and bags at airports. X-ray can be created by applying very high electric voltage to 2 metal poles, thus electrons fly from one pole to hit another metal pole with high velocity. The hit metal atoms by the electrons release the energy they receive as X-ray.
