Project Name Training Instructors from the Office of the Promotion of Non-Formal Education 
Background and Significance As the Thai Government sees importance in handling what is to be considered an "aging society", the Cabinet has driven a project to encourage integration of all sectors of Thai society to handle its development towards an aging population efficiently. A memorandum of agreement was signed in order to encourage the development of technology and human resources in order to keep up with such changes within the Thai population. The Office of the Promotion of Non-Formal and Informal Education (ONIE), the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, and Community Health System Research and Development Institute Foundation (NESDB) has the intent to organize joint initatives to create and promote a healthy aging society.

Purpose To create a curriculum which aims for personnel in the Office of Promotion of Non-Formal and Informal Education to develop basic knowledge, understand, skills, work guidelines and duties in order to improve quality of life for the elderly.
Activities Orientation and training in the form of online distance learning through three systems: Class Start, Facebook Live, and Zoom; divided into five modules.
Target Audience and Participants Personnel under the Office of Promotion of Non-Formal and Informal Education in Bangkok and Province
Amount of Participants 529 participants
Level of Participation Nationwide
Project Results 1. Participants are able to bring what they have learned to design non-formal education activities to promote the prevention of poor methods of aging towards the public, educating on topics such as slowing down deterioration of the mind, brain, and body, for the elderly to become more independent.
2. Participants are equipped with the knowledge and understanding of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and are able to identify risk groups, in addition to being a source of information on non-chronic communicable diseases to the elderly and their families.
