Background and Significance |
As a result from economic expansion in Thailand, the use of chemicals in agricultural, industrial, and in the household has become widespread. Because such use of chemicals were not regulated in their initial use, residual impact upon the environment, including contamination in the food chain and water supply has become a problem for Thai society. If not treated or regulated, risks of poison and death are imminent. As a response to such problems, the Ramathibodi Poison Center has been established. |
